A partnership between Facebook and Whāriki Māori Business Network, delivered 7 Digital Skills workshops for Māori in business across Aotearoa.
These free workshops were created to increase the digital capability for Māori in business across Aotearoa. Over 350 people were trained in Auckland, Whangarei, Rotorua, Hamilton, Wellington and Te Wai Pounamu (the South Island). Katie is a trained Facebook Community Trainer for New Zealand.
Led the All of Government response to COVID-19 on social media channels: Unite against COVID-19
This included leading a team of 10, writing content, reporting, delivering.

Created the first full service social media team in NZ government at ACC New Zealand. We went from not connecting to being everywhere Kiwis wanted us to be.
As part of this, I started the Government Social Network (GSN) – a group of social media, marketing and digital specialists working in New Zealand government. The GSN allows specialists to share knowledge & build skills. Right now, we have 300 members.

Secured funding for the programme in Whakatane for two years through the Provincial Growth Fund.
Led the complete rewrite of content on acc.co.nz – only creating content our audience told us they wanted (reduced content from 10,000 pages and docs to 1,200)
As a consultants, our team have worked with both private and public businesses like Te Puni Kōkiri, Manatū Taonga, Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, Ministry of Health, Hutt City Council, NIWA, Oranga Tamariki, HainesAttract, Internet NZ to create strategy, deliver campaigns, build internal capability and streamline systems.
